ITH Design Details
ITH stands for “In the Hoop” and refers to embroidery machine files that stitch a 3D project like this one.
- .ZIP file Includes these machine embroidery file formats: DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, SEW, VIP, VP3, XXX
- Number of Hoopings: 3 hoopings for 6×10″ (150x240mm) hoops, and 4 hoopings if using a 5×7″(130x180mm) designs.
- This design comes in one finished size which is 13” tall.
Tools and Materials Needed
Tools
• Embroidery machine with 5×7 hoop or larger
• Sharp fabric scissors
• Hemostats for turning and stuffing the doll
• Long doll needle and strong thread for closing the seam openings
• Pins to hold the stabilizer firmly in the hoop (the T-pin trick)
Materials
• Doll skin fabric
- For limbs: 2 pieces – 8” x 6”
- For body/head: 2 pieces – 8” x 8”
- Panty/diaper fabric: 2 pieces – 6” wide x 5” tall
• Top and bobbin thread to coordinate with your doll project (white, black and red/pink for face)
• Fiberfill stuffing
• No-show mesh embroidery stabilizer, or similar lightweight cutaway stabilizer
• Scrap of water or heat soluble stabilizer to use under the face detail stitches
• Fusible stabilizer for thin or stretchy panty fabric
