ITH Design Details
ITH stands for “In the Hoop” and refers to embroidery machine files that stitch a 3D project like this one.

Tools and Materials Needed
Tools
- Embroidery machine
- Embroidery Thread and bobbin (40wt polyester thread is suggested, bobbin can be the same or use 60wt or 90wt bobbin thread if you like)
- Sharp fabric scissors
- Hemostats may help with turning and stuffing
- Needle Nose pliers and wire cutter for armature wire
Materials:
- Fabrics (instructions for each part have more info on fabric choices)
- For body – stretch knits twice as large as your hoop size,
- For head – front & back sized to your hoop choice, stretch knits recommended
- For clothing – stretch knits that are twice as large as your chosen hoop size
- For hair/beard – small amount of faux fur to create glued on wig.
- Recommended Embroidery stabilizers: no-show mesh stabilizer for body front and back, medium weight cut-away for the head, and water or heat soluble film suggested under facial features.
- Fiberfill or other stuffing of choice.

- Hand sewing needle and strong thread for closing the head, or fabric glue
