ITH Design Details
- ITH stands for “In the Hoop” and refers to embroidery machine files that stitch a 3D project like this one.

- Number of Hoopings: 1 per puppet

Tools and Materials Needed
Tools:
- Embroidery machine with 5×7, 6×10, 8×8 or larger hoop (5×7 makes small puppet, 6×10 or 8×8 makes large puppet)
- Sharp fabric scissors
- (Optional) Applique scissors
Materials:
- 2 pieces of any fabric for front and back of puppet
- Small size- 2 pieces 6” wide by 8” tall •
- Large size- 2 pieces 7” wide by 9” tall •
- (0ptional) Scrap remnants of fabric for applique tummy, nose and ears
- Embroidery thread to match your fabrics, plus black and white or other color for facial features
- Stabilizer of your choice. ( Tear-away works great, but you could also use cut-away)
- (Optional) Water or heat soluble stabilizer/topper if your fabrics are fluffy
- (Optional) Fusible hem tape, fabric glue, or sewing machine to hem the bottom of the puppet. Non-fray fabrics can be left unhemmed (fleece, felt, etc)
