Make your very own Santa Klaus or other portly, bearded art doll with this pattern for your embroidery machine.
- Face, belt, and seams are stitched by your embroidery machine. Then you cut out, turn, stuff, and hand-sew or glue it closed.
- Beard and hair are done with machine applique. Use fur or even a dollar tree car wash cloth for his wig and beard.

- This doll head and body are compatible with other art dolls from Ballyhoo Creations so you can swap heads and bodies for a custom creation.

Tools and Materials Needed
Tools
- Embroidery machine
- Embroidery Thread and bobbin (40wt polyester thread is suggested, bobbin can be the same or use 60wt or 90wt bobbin thread if you like)
- Sharp fabric scissors
- Hemostats may help with turning and stuffing
Materials:
- Fabrics (instructions for each part have more info on fabric choices)
- For body – front & back pieces for both pants and shirt, sized to your hoop choice, stretch knits are recommended.
- For head – front & back sized to your hoop choice, stretch knits recommended
- For hair/beard – small amount of faux fur to create sewn-in wig
- Recommended Embroidery stabilizers: no-show mesh stabilizer for body front and back, medium weight cut-away for the head, and water or heat soluble film suggested under facial features.
- Fiberfill or other stuffing of choice.

- Hand sewing needle and strong thread for closing the head, or fabric glue
