Halloween Home Tour 2022

Here’s a little confession, I’m a bit of a voyeur. I like to look at other people’s houses.

Nothing creepy! I’m not peeking into people’s windows while they’re undressing. But I love open houses and home tours. Lately, I’ve been watching Holiday Home tours on YouTube.

I was that kid that went trick-or-treating and kept trying to look inside people’s houses, just to see how other people lived. Candy was nice, but those kids had better toys than we did!

This is the first time I’m creating a home tour of MY house decked out for Halloween. There are dozens of handmade things in my home that I absolutely love, and I’m hoping a few of them will inspire you to create something you love and cherish in your home.

Watch the video above to see all the handmade, thrifted, and purchased items. Then look through this page for more info on those items. If something doesn’t have a pattern or tutorial, I’d be happy to create those if enough people request it.

	Flower Faces – this is the Caregiver face from Archetype Faces Pack 2 Add-On Heads but any small doll head can work to make flowers with faces. The tiny orchid faces are fabric-covered buttons. Just stitch or draw faces on them and glue them into flower centers.

	Drippy Candles I like this YouTube tutorial on Drippy Candles but I used some cardboard for my base, and the tubes from embroidery stabilizer instead of PVC! (recycling at its finest)
	Pickled Puppet HeadYou can use any hand-and-rod puppet head. This was a prototype puppet very similar to YIB Puppet PDF Sewing Pattern or Yab Hand-and-rod Puppet pattern, made in-the-hoop. This one has a big mustache, and I stuffed him into a big pickle jar. He makes me giggle.
